Frequently Asked Questions
-
We’re the mobile end of a full hospitality kitchen—not a truck that occasionally caters. Our chefs build each menu for the event, prep from scratch in our Madison commercial kitchen, and bring the right truck, team, and service plan to your site. It feels closer to a restaurant experience; it just happens to have wheels.
-
Yes. We operate as a licensed mobile food establishment through Public Health Madison & Dane County and carry insurance appropriate for catered events. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance, ask and we’ll provide it.
-
We have a 28-foot hot-kitchen truck and a 20-foot cold-service truck. The larger truck is fully self-contained and can cook on site; the smaller truck is built for plating, beverage-forward service, and lighter menus. Some events use one, some use both. We recommend the setup after we know the menu, guest count, and venue.
-
No fixed, one-size-fits-all menu. We start with your guest count, service timing, venue, dietary needs, and budget, then build something that belongs at your event. That might be a full dinner, late-night service, grazing tables, desserts, a mocktail program, or a combination.
-
Weddings, company gatherings, brand activations, workplace lunches, private celebrations, school and athletic events, festivals, community events, and open-air dinners. If the experience needs thoughtful food and a capable mobile kitchen, it is probably in our lane.
-
Yes. We can create a one-time lunch or a recurring schedule. Your team can order at the window, your company can host the meal, or we can design another service plan around your headcount and lunch window. We’ll recommend the menu and truck setup that keep the line moving without making lunch feel generic.
-
Our public schedule includes farmers markets, festivals, pop-ups, and selected street-vending dates. Because locations and seasonal hours change, the Find the Truck page is the best place to see where we’re serving next and what kind of service to expect.
-
We serve intimate gatherings, large weddings, and events with several hundred guests. The comfortable range depends on the menu, service window, venue access, and whether one or both trucks are involved. Send us your best headcount and we’ll tell you what will work well—not just what can technically fit.
-
We need a level, accessible place to park and enough room to arrive, serve, and leave safely. Our hot-kitchen truck carries its own generator, so most events do not require venue power. The truck itself is weather-protected; for outdoor guest seating or service beyond the window, we’ll help you plan the sensible rain option before event day.
-
Usually, yes. Because we make so much from scratch, we can design around many vegetarian, vegan, gluten-sensitive, and allergy-related needs. Tell us early and be specific. We’ll explain what we can safely accommodate and where shared equipment means we cannot promise a completely allergen-free environment.
-
We’re based in Madison and regularly serve events across southern Wisconsin. Northern Illinois and farther-away locations may be possible depending on the date, menu, and service plan. Share the venue city in your inquiry and we’ll include any travel cost clearly in the proposal.
-
For weddings and popular-season Saturdays, earlier is better. That said, we take last-minute events when the calendar and menu allow. Start with the inquiry form; we’ll review your date, location, guest count, budget, and the experience you want, then come back with availability and the clearest next step toward a custom proposal.
